- Toppings & Decoration: 1/2 cup sliced black olives, 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes, 1/4 cup sliced green onions, 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro, 1/2 cup shredded lettuce, 1/4 cup sour cream (for piping yard lines), 2 tablespoons sliced jalapeños (optional)
- Dippers: 2 bags tortilla chips, 1 bag pretzel sticks (for goal posts optional)
Instructions
- Layer Beans:
- On a large rectangular platter spread the refried beans evenly to form the first layer.
- Spread Sour Cream:
- Carefully spread the sour cream over the beans leaving about a 1 inch border around the edges.
- Add Guacamole:
- Spoon the guacamole over the sour cream smoothing it into a bright green rectangle to resemble the football field.
- Layer Salsa and Cheese:
- Layer salsa evenly along the edges outside the guacamole field and sprinkle grated cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese over the salsa border.
- Decorate Field:
- Use a piping bag or a zip-top bag with the tip snipped off to pipe yard lines and end zones with the reserved sour cream. Arrange sliced black olives as players or fans along the edges. Sprinkle tomatoes green onions and cilantro over the cheese border. Add shredded lettuce along the ends as turf.
- Make Goal Posts:
- If desired create mini goal posts with pretzel sticks at both ends of the field.
