# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • These little bunnies are so forgiving that even a decorating disaster reads as charm.
  • Kids genuinely want to help with every single step, making the whole thing feel like play instead of work.
  • The vanilla cake stays moist for days, which means you can bake ahead without stress.
02 -
  • Room temperature ingredients aren't a suggestion, they're the difference between a tender crumb and dense cake that tastes like disappointment.
  • The buttercream-to-cake ratio matters more than you'd think, too little frosting and the decoration slides off, too much and it's overpowering.
03 -
  • Marshmallows cut with slightly damp scissors won't stick and shred, and pressing them into frosting while it's still soft means they'll stay put through transport and serving.
  • Make your buttercream slightly stiffer than you think necessary for frosting, it holds decorations better and you can always soften it with a drop of milk if you need to spread it.
