# Ingredient List:
→ Beef
01 - 1 pound flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
→ Marinade
02 - 2 tablespoons soy sauce
03 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch
04 - 1 tablespoon rice wine or dry sherry
→ Vegetables
05 - 1 large head broccoli, cut into florets (about 4 cups)
06 - 2 tablespoons water
→ Sauce
07 - 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
08 - 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
09 - 1 tablespoon brown sugar
10 - 2 teaspoons cornstarch
11 - 2/3 cup beef or chicken broth (160 milliliters)
12 - 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
→ Aromatics
13 - 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
14 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
15 - 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
# Directions:
01 - Combine sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and rice wine in a bowl. Allow to marinate for at least 10 minutes.
02 - Whisk together oyster sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, broth, and sesame oil in a bowl. Set aside.
03 - Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add broccoli and water, stir-frying until broccoli is bright green and tender, about 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer to a plate.
04 - Add remaining 1 tablespoon vegetable oil to the pan. Arrange marinated beef in a single layer and sear approximately 2 minutes per side until browned.
05 - Incorporate minced garlic and grated ginger into the pan. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
06 - Return broccoli to the pan and pour in the prepared sauce. Stir-fry everything together for 1 to 2 minutes until sauce thickens and beef is cooked through.
07 - Serve hot, ideally over steamed rice.
