Mini Starfish Tuna Sandwiches (Printable)

# Ingredient List:

→ Bread

01 - 12 slices white sandwich bread, crust removed

→ Filling

02 - 4.2 oz canned tuna in water, drained
03 - 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
04 - 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
05 - 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
06 - 1 tablespoon finely chopped chives
07 - Salt and black pepper, to taste

→ Decoration

08 - 24 black olive slices
09 - 24 small capers
10 - 1 small carrot, peeled and finely diced (optional)

# Directions:

01 - Use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut 24 star shapes from the bread slices.
02 - Combine tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, chives, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly.
03 - Spread a generous spoonful of the tuna mixture onto half of the bread stars, then top with the remaining bread stars to form sandwiches.
04 - Press two black olive slices onto one point of each sandwich to represent eyes, placing a caper at the center of each olive slice.
05 - Add finely diced carrot pieces to the star points for additional detail if desired.
06 - Arrange the starfish sandwiches on a platter and serve chilled.
